Well, I too agree with you, In the early stage instead of making huge investment in building a website. The same can be started with maintaining a blog by using free platform. After some time if we are confident that our blog is performing well and we are getting no of visitors than the same can be transferred to a website. This quality is liked by most.

Agree 100% on your points relating to the value of having a blog. I notice your running WordPress 2.7.1 and have clean urls. That is, your page title is part of the URL. What add on did you use to get this feature?
